How the My Accumulation Tracker Works
Not financial advice. This article is general information and education only โ not a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy or sell any security or asset, and not tailored to your circumstances. Do your own research.
My Accumulation is Fracto's personal buy-the-dip tracker. It turns a Wealthsimple export into a live dashboard of what you own, how far you are from your targets, and where today's dips are โ without ever storing your login or placing a trade. Here's what it does and how to use it.
What it's for
Long-term accumulation is boring by design: pick the positions you believe in, set a target size for each, and keep topping them up โ ideally buying more on red days. The tracker makes that discipline easy to see, on one page that answers "what should I add today, and how close am I to done?"
Getting started: upload your holdings
From My Accumulation, use Upload and drop in a Wealthsimple positions CSV. The tracker:
- Matches each row to a live price feed โ stocks and ETFs via the market, crypto via CoinGecko โ handling CDRs and Canadian tickers automatically.
- Merges the same symbol held across multiple accounts into a single line.
- Records your quantity and book cost. It never writes trades or touches your Wealthsimple account.
Re-upload any time to re-sync; every upload is logged (see History below).
Reading the table
Each holding shows:
- Price in CAD, with the USD equivalent beneath it.
- Day % โ today's move, coloured green or red.
- P/E and Port % โ valuation and the position's weight in your book.
- Held / Target / Progress โ units held versus your goal, with a progress bar and a "to finish" cost estimate.
- P&L โ unrealised gain or loss.
Positions are sorted dips first, so the biggest fallers sit at the top where you'll act on them.
Targets and the "buy the dip" flag
Set a target number of units per holding and mark the ones you're still bullish on. When a bullish holding falls more than its dip threshold on the day, it lights up with a "dip โ buy?" badge. The rule is deliberate: dips only flag while the thesis is re-affirmed, so you're not catching falling knives on names you've cooled on.
Composition stats and income
A thin strip at the top summarises the book โ equity vs. crypto, AI exposure, income %, and your top sectors. Click any stat to filter the table to just those positions.
It also estimates your expected annual income โ dividends plus staking rewards on proof-of-stake coins โ split into stable and variable (covered-call / high-yield) income, with the top contributors. Two yields are shown: one across the whole book, and one on the income sleeve alone. An overall progress bar rolls up how close the entire portfolio is to its targets.
Refreshing prices
Prices refresh automatically each day and mid-session, but you can pull fresh quotes any time with Refresh live prices.
History and revert
Every upload is captured in Upload history โ the file, a summary of what changed, and a full snapshot of your positions. If an import goes wrong, you can revert to any earlier upload, which safely restores your quantities and cost without touching your targets or settings. The revert itself is logged, so nothing is ever lost.
Sharing (without the dollars)
Each portfolio has a read-only share link โ a "what I'm watching" view that shows your symbols, weights, day moves and dip flags, but hides every dollar amount and quantity. The unguessable link is the only key, so you can share a watchlist without disclosing position sizes.
Editing
Add a holding, edit its target or dip threshold, toggle bullish on or off, or delete a position โ all inline. A day-by-day attribution view shows which names drove each day's move.
Educational content only โ nothing here is financial advice or a recommendation. A Fracto login is required to use the tracker.
